As you’re reading this newsletter, Mad Red Books has officially been open for one month! To say that it’s been an incredible experience would somehow still be an understatement.
The decision to open our doors on July 4th came with some hesitation. Questions of “are you sure?” rang from the mouths of friends, family, and around our own heads.
However, we remained steadfast in our opening plans, just as we had with the vision of the bookstore.
We still cannot wrap our heads around what a successful opening weekend we had the privilege to experience! From a crowd of people gathered for the ribbon cutting, to a rotating door of guests exclaiming their excitement for a new neighborhood bookstore, and friends and family from the area and beyond coming to visit — we’ve never been so beautifully overwhelmed.
The amount of “thank you”’s our little team could muster up wouldn’t be enough to accurately express our gratitude. However, we’ll say it anyway. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who has come by, supported us with a like or comment online, or a single good thought sent our way. We wouldn’t be here without it.
